Dean Misdale is an award-winning singer, drag performer, DJ and musical theatre artist from Perth, Western Australia, known for powerhouse vocals, sharp wit and commanding stage presence.

Dean first captured global attention after a now-viral on-stage moment with Adele during her Perth concert, launching a career that has gone on to span cabaret, music, theatre and large-scale events.

A celebrated cabaret performer, Dean is a two-time winner of Best Cabaret & Variety Show at Fringe World (2022 and 2025), cementing their reputation as one of Australia’s most dynamic live performers. Their achievements also include being named Variety Performer of the Year at The Proud Awards 2025, recognising their outstanding contribution to entertainment and live performance.

In music, Dean made history in 2023 as the first drag artist to reach #1 on the iTunes Australia chart with a cover of the disco classic Celebration, further establishing their reputation as a live-singing drag artist with crossover appeal.

Dean’s career also extends into musical theatre, where they broke new ground as the first drag queen in Australia and the second in the world to perform the role of Killer Queen in We Will Rock You The Musical. They also appeared as Miss Understanding in the West Australian premiere of Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical at Crown Theatre.

Alongside their stage work, Dean is also well known for performing at major events for corporate clients including Rio Tinto, RAC Arena, Perth Wildcats, West Coast Eagles and Optus Stadium, as well as appearing in campaigns for brands such as Uber, TransPerth, City of Vincent, Roll Up WA and Hilton Hotels.
